Music Journalism
Founder of Viberight; Contributor to Lessthan3 and Lost in Sound
As an internationally active music journalist, I have covered concerts, festivals, and press releases from around the world. Two of the above links are archived links, so that gives you an idea of how long I've been at this. I've worked as press -at such popular festivals as: Electric Zoo, BPM, Camp Bisco, Outside Lands, Electric Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, Psybient Soiree. I've interviewed famous artists like The Disco Biscuits, Alex and Alyson Gray, John Digweed, and Ott. Eventually, I started Viberight, where I managed a team of 6 music journalists located internationally. My favorite part of this coverage was always shooting in the photo pit, or hanging out back stage or in the green room with some of my favorite artists. I put my journalistic ambitions on hiatus when I began my career, but am looking to start creating this content again soon.

Project Inspire with Nvidia + City Year
Volunteer Leader, irrigation
While I was undertaking my year of national service with City Year, I was given many opportunities to build community and to lead. For Project Inspire in 2012, City Year partnered with Nvidia and Project Veggielution to literally build community by expanding Prusch Park by several acres and adding copious amounts of infrastructure -- from irrigation systems to raised beds to barns! In just a few days, several teams of volunteers worked together to accomplish this amazing feat.

YelpCares + Vitalant Blood Drive
YelpCares, ERG Leader
There were a lot of great opportunities during my involvement with YelpCares, but one thing I was particularly proud of was achieving my goal of creating an office-wide repeating philanthropy event of some kind. That took the form of an annually recurring blood drive, where we worked together with Vitalant. Yelp doesn't really have offices anymore, but I felt very accomplished eating crackers after donating plasma at the blood drive I myself made happen.. well, with help from my very talented and generous colleagues, anyway.
